Scattered light petals

The second painting of the series was inspired by the earlier experiences of the Lon landscape and the emotional shift I noticed a few steps in from the edge of the farm ~ a whole new in between space.

I was drawn into the comforting cocoon-like structure created by the contrasting elements: thick dark tangled trunks and defined lines reaching across the sun-bleached path.

Soft light melting from the sky onto the path in patches like scattered petals. Overhanging leaves constantly moving and changing the light, softening the focus. Ushering you through to an even more peaceful place.

This piece is part of the ‘Quilted’ exhibition at the Lon Retreat in Point Lonsdale Victoria.

The exhibition runs until July 3, 2022.

Collect from the Lon
You are welcome to collect the work from the Lon Retreat ~ 25 Gill Road, Point Lonsdale, Victoria on the 4th of July by arrangement with the team at the Lon.

I will forward your contact details {entered at the checkout} on to the Lon staff.

Collect from Melbourne studio:

If you’d like to collect your piece from the studio in Melbourne, you are welcome to do so by arrangement in the week following July 4, 2022.

Shipping:

Shipping will be invoiced separately. Costs will depend on your location and preferred service.

If you are outside Australia it’s possible to have the larger works unframed and unstretched and sent as a rolled canvas for more economical shipping.
